The Club has a quality assurance system which includes documented policies (see Library page) concerning staff recruitment and training, and parent, child and staff induction packs.

Allsorts After-School and Holiday Club is run to the requirements of the National Care Standards (see Library page) for early educational and childcare up to the age of 16. The Allsorts After-School and Holiday Club follows the Scottish Social Services Council Codes of Practice.

The Care Commission (now The Care Inspectorate) introduced a self-assessment grading system in April 2008 to inform their annual inspection process.

A quality framework has been established that links to the National Care Standards but looks at the service from four perspectives - the experience, the environment, the staffing and the management.

By using the framework to review the service and by involving parents, children and staff in the self-assessment we will be able to identify areas for improvement. The grading system (6 is excellent and 1 is unsatisfactory) will enable us to track our progress in each area from one year to the next and allow Allsorts to develop to meet the needs of its clients.

Our last inspection in October 2012 graded the service as excellent for the quality of care & support and very good for staffing, management & leadership and quality of environment. The report can be seen here

In September 2012 the club received a Commendation at the Nancy Ovens Awards for Play.

In February 2013 The Care Inspectorate visited the club to film the children in the Enchanted Forest, as a good example of outdoor play. We are now on "The Hub" on their website.
